This may have to do with the fact that ‘definitive editions’ have recently been released of the first three volumes, which of course had already been refurbished to modern standards. While there’s certainly a lot to like about the Canadian developer and his portfolio, I’ve always been a big fan of the Company of Heroes-series. When I first heard that Age of Empires IV was in development at developer Relic Entertainment I was instantly hyped. Age of Empires IV, in which we go back to the Middle Ages again, takes most of his inspiration from Age of Empires II, but in addition, it is of course the question whether Relic also manages to innovate sufficiently in the long-awaited successor. RTS classic Age of Empires is back with a brand new iteration.
